Fantastic opportunity to work for a well known City Centre client.
Required is a senior mgr to control procurement strategies, ensure operational management of contracts and lead commercial input and evaluations for IT initiatives and contracts.
Provide key support to improve business performance within the client organisation and with external bodies. Undertaking the strategic management of a portfolio of designated strategic suppliers and partners in a pro-active and coordinated manner, providing key contribution to contracts and supplier development. Identifying opportunities to improve business efficiency and results, to develop additional capabilities and to deliver competitive advantage.
Person Spec:
-5 years experience at senior buyer level in procurement, contract and commercial management.
-High- level awareness of IT * Network products, services and suppliers.
-Proactive with a proven ability to build and manage relationships and initiate change.
-Ability to take control of the supplier management process.
-Ability to develop customer contracts and drive through service * cost improvements.
-Ability to balance the demands of the customers for the latest technology versus the need to maintain cost effectiveness.
-Ability to demonstrate leadership by identifying goals and objectives, as well as motivate and lead others.
-Ability to influence and take control as required.
-Degree and * or qualification in a related discipline desirable.
